Builder Phil Gillespie and his realtor wife, Merri, exude the kind of warmth and down to earth charm one looks for in a best friend or a favorite neighbor. And their company Center Pointe Properties, Inc. is helping to create neighborhoods to nurture these kinds of relationships. 

Known for their classic brick exteriors wrapped around rock-solid construction, Center Pointe homes stand out in Greenville communities and stand up to the rigors of active family life and entertaining.

“Our Clients are a mix of young families and empty-nesters,” says Phil. “Most are moving up and a few are downsizing,” adds Merri. But all are looking for quality homes in the 2,400- to 5,000-square-foot range where Center Pointe has found a niche.

That’s a sizable span in home building, but Phil says he enjoys the range. It allows him to serve a variety of clients moving to such developments as Cobblestone, Montebello, Villaggio Di Montebello, Promenade De Montebello, and Tuscany Falls. Most of these communities are gated with exceptional mountain views and all include a clubhouse with a swimming pool.

The expansion in this end of Greenville and Simpsonville has kept pace with that of other compass points, and Phil and Merri Gillespie have helped to chart the monumental growth of these existing areas.
